In 2021, we developed a Javanese–English Mobile Dictionary Application to support language learning and cultural preservation. The application was designed to make it easier for users to translate between Javanese and English directly from their mobile devices.
Key features included:
- Bidirectional Translation – Users could search words in either Javanese or English and instantly get the corresponding translation.
- Offline Access – The core dictionary worked without an internet connection, ensuring accessibility anytime and anywhere.
- Word Categories – Organized vocabulary by categories (e.g., daily expressions, academic terms, traditional culture) to enhance learning.
- Favorites & History – Users could bookmark important words and review their search history for continuous practice.
- Simple, User-Friendly Interface – Clean mobile design with a focus on readability and quick access.
This project was created to bridge language gaps while also encouraging the younger generation to learn and appreciate the richness of the Javanese language.
